-A check valve, non-return valve or one-way valve is a mechanical device, a valve, which normally allows fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in only one direction;

-An important concept in check valves is the cracking pressure which is the minimum upstream pressure at which the valve will operate. Typically the check valve is designed for and can therefore be specified for a specific cracking pressure.

The Main Production facilities we have following
5 Ordinary lathe

What is the type of check valve?
>

How does Swing check valve operate?
>

A: The Swing Check valve's operation is automatic and requires no assistance. When the flow exerts sufficient pressure against the disc to overcome the disc's weight, the disc, which is set on a hinge, lifts allowing the flow to continue through the piping system. As the pressure decreases, the disc lowers until its own weight forces it to seat. This prevents the possibility of a reversal in the flow.

These valves should be sized by Engineering to insure there is sufficient flow to keep the valves from chattering. Chattering will caused premature wear which could lead to loss of performance by the valve.
